Davao City's 911 emergency response hotline have been
launched nationwide as part of President Rodrigo Duterte's measure to combat
crime and corruption.
The 24-hour hotline is now accessible to all Filipinos for complaints
and emergency.

Telephone number 911 will be for national emergency calls,
while 8888 will be reserved for citizen complaints.
Gamaliel Cordoba the Telecommunications Commissioner said that
all calls to 911 will be rerouted to the existing Patrol 117 hotline while the
911 command center is not yet established.
Telecommunications provider PLDT and its subsidiaries Smart
and ePLDT have guaranteed to give free access for the emergency hotline while complainants
using Globe telecom must have their globe reload for they will charge P5 per call to the hotline.
Meanwhile, citizens can use the 8888 hotline for concerns or
complaints and will be relayed to the right government agencies.
Filipinos may report through 8888 hotline the corrupt
officials, underperforming government personnel and unfinished government
projects.
Interior Secretary Ismael SueƱo has called on the public to
stop making prank calls and emphasize that 911 should only be used for
emergency.
